Kinda shaggy-looking, weighs next to nothing. Ultralight, simple, and minimal thermoregulation. Ideal for active insulation as part of a layering system: wear it with a light base layer on the move without overheating or underneath a shell to trap heat. Made using Polartec Alpha Direct 60 for light weight active insulation.
The Shag Zip Hoodie is cut with a cropped fit and close to body comfort, for trail and life. The hem adjustments have a removable cord lock system, allowing for easier one-handed cord adjustment, and the hood is a snug fit. Engineered for minimal weight and maximum utility, the Shag Zip Hoodie balances trail performance with everyday functionality.

Polartec Alpha Direct was originally developed for the US military as an insulated fill alternative, it has since taken off in popularity with ultralight hikers as a standalone fleece replacement. By placing patented low-density fibers between air permeable woven layers Polartec® created a more efficient fabric for regulating warmth and transferring moisture. This advancement increases thermal adaptability in changing conditions and different phases of physical activity. Alpha is also hydrophobic, so it won't absorb moisture even if you start to sweat.
